Company
History
Copenhagen Kasbah is a Danish fashion company established
in late 2004 by Tim Meicker, that designs and marketing two
annual collections for modern women. The company was soon
accepted by the Danish fashion industry and Copenhagen
Kasbah participated in the CPH Vision Fashion Fair for the
first time in February 2006. The first fashion show was
arranged in collaboration with Designers Network (a network
dedicated to promote and sell collections from upcoming
designers) and took place in an old factory building: more
than 500 guests attended the show. Soon after the brand was
discovered by Young Designers United - featured in the
travel guide StyleCity Amsterdam - a shop and network in
Amsterdam in The Netherlands - handpicking designers with a
lot of creativity, who are able to translate their visions
into wearable and affordable collections.
Design aestethics
The
collections are exclusively sold in wholesale to retailers
and department stores, and in our own concept store in
Copenhagen. The style is classic and is trying to balance
avantgarde and aesthetics.
Company Name
With
its many streets and labyrinthal structure a kasbah can be
characterised as an densely built-on medina, where new and
old unites and fashion and traditions are mixed and creates
a new identity.
